This wall mounted sculpture quietly holds the meaning of a vessel. It captures ideas of protection, container and journey in its form.
The finish is an eco-friendly, waterborne stain. I have applied several layers of different colour to the side panels, creating a depth and subtle complexity of patina, then visually piqued the finish with a clear semigloss.
